Two men found guilty in connection with stabbing death

MURPHYSBORO, IL (KFVS) - A jury convicted two men in connection with a stabbing death in November 2010.

Trevis Thompson, 25, was found guilty of first degree murder, aggravated battery and mob action.

Patrick Greene, 28, was a acquitted of murder, but found guilty of aggravated battery and mob action, according to Jackson County Assistant State's Attorney Casey Bloodworth.

Both of the defendants pleaded not guilty in the November killing of Orlando Clark during a brawl that the Jackson County state's attorney told jurors began with a dispute between Thompson and a woman over money.

Thompson's sentencing date is May 20, 2011 at 9:30 a.m.

Greene's sentencing is May 20, 2011 at 1 p.m.
