PIEDMONT, MO (KFVS) - Leaders in the Piedmont area are dealing with a slight water problem.
Lightning struck the water plant Saturday night. It's on Highway HH just west of Piedmont.
The strike fried some equipment and shut down two pumps.
Employees got everything up and running, but several more parts and pieces of equipment are still needed before everything is back to normal.
"It came down a sub-line, went through the control panels for filter pumps which is the last phase of treatment before it goes out to the city basically," said Piedmont Mayor Bill Kirkpatrick.
Despite this officials say Piedmont's water supply is fine.
