HARRISBURG, IL (KFVS) - A former Saline County chief deputy now faces seven additional counts of criminal sexual assault.
Todd Fort is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old Harrisburg girl.
This is the same victim involved in the case filed against Fort in July 2010.
The new charges come from an earlier timeframe than the charges filed in the summer of 2010. The victim was only 16.
These additional charges stem from three different dates in March and April of 2010.
The additional charges were delayed until an investigation was complete.
Fort had been charged with 10 counts of sexual assault and criminal misconduct. The state later amended one of those charges to a class X felony.
Fort's jury trial is set for May 4.
Fort retired from the Saline County Sheriff's Department in August.
He filed a letter of resignation as president of the Harrisburg School Board in November.
