Charleston takes 3rd place at State tournament

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Despite trailing by as many as 24-points, the Charleston Basketball team came back to defeat Elsberrry 87-79 in the Class 3 third place game Friday in Columbia.

Charleston set a state record by scoring 38-points in the 4th quarter to break the old mark of 37-points.

Gregory Tucker led the Blue Jays with 29 points who end the season with a 25-6 record.
