STEELE, MO (KFVS) - Steele Police arrested two people after discovering a "shake and bake" meth lab.
On March 13, Steele officers received information about a possible meth lab at a home in Steele, with children inside the home.
After arriving at 514 N. Walnut St., officers made contact with the adult at the home and discovered there were children inside.
During the investigation officers conducted a search of the home and found an active "bake and shake" meth lab inside the residence, the lab was processed by police.
Officers arrested a 33-year-old man and a 23-year-old female both from Steele. The two face charges of attempting to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
Both suspects were taken to the Pemiscot County Jail. Their names are being held pending the filing of formal charges.
