DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - A Dexter woman is in jail after allegedly leaving the scene of an accident.

According to Dexter Police, 43-year-old Yvonne Wood was driving a 1997 Dodge Dakota on the 100 block of east Saint Francis Street at 7:03 a.m. Saturday morning.

Officers say while on that block, she hit a parked 1996 Dodge truck and pushed the Dodge into a parked 1989 Ford F350 pickup truck. Wood allegedly then hit the Ford truck and then left the scene.

Two hours later, officers say she hit another parked car on the 200 block of west Saint Francis Street. This time it was a 1993 Chrysler New Yorker parked near 219 W. Francis Street.

Officers say Wood did not stop in either case to attempt to find the owners of the vehicles.

An arrest warrant was issued for Wood, and officers took her into custody.

Wood is charged with felony leaving the scene of an accident, misdemeanor leaving the scene of an accident and Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).

She's being held in the Stoddard County Jail on $15,000 bond.
