Marion, IL (KFVS) - The city of Marion, Illinois has family concerns of sorts in the wake of the disaster in Japan.
Marion's sister city is just outside of Nagoya, which is in a more southern part of the country.
Last spring the president and CEO of the Marion chamber of commerce, George Trammell visited the city. When he heard of the quake he sent an email to their contacts in Marion's sister city.
"It's night over there when it's day over here, said Trammell." "So hopefully through the night it'll get some kind of response that everything is okay."
According to Trammell, when those in their sister city heard of the May 8, 2010 storm, Nagoya reached out and showed concern.
