5 Injured in Paducah rear-end wreck

By Heartland News

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Five people are injured in a traffic crash in McCracken county Friday.

According to the McCracken county sheriff's department the wreck happened Friday around 12:30 p.m. in the 3600 block of Husbands Road.

Deputies say 78-year-old john fox of Paducah was driving his pick-up truck north when he apparently did not see two vehicles and a motorcycle stopped in the roadway.

Fox's truck rear-ended 22-year-old Katherine butler's car. The car was jolted forward and rear-ended another small car driven by 39-year-old Hui Lin of Hickory.

Butler's vehicle didn't stop there. It also hit 50-year-old Bruce Douglas who was on a Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Lin and Douglas were taken to a Paducah hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Two passengers in butler's car sustained injuries: 30-year-old Jeremy Baldree and 41-year-old Penny McLeod, both of Paducah. Authorities say McLeod had to be extricated from the back seat of the car. All three in butler's car were taken to the hospital.

There's no word on the extent of their injuries or their conditions.
