Afternoon update: Police: Animal hoarding, neglect in Ripley Co.

Good Thursday Afternoon! Here are just some of the stories we are working on for Heartland News tonight and kfvs12.com.

Police and animal rescue officials have rescued more than a dozen animals from a property in Ripley Co.  Holly Brantley has been at the property near Doniphan and has more on this incredible story.

In sports, Todd Richards has been in Carbondale this afternoon and finds out the fate of SIU men's basketball coach Lowery. Also, Chad Fryman is in Columbia covering the state basketball championships!

A 16-year-old student was taken into custody in Pemiscot County for threats made against students and school officials on facebook.

32 students in Iron County have protested a teacher being suspended and in turn were sent home. Crystal Britt has reaction from school officials tonight on Heartland News. 

As many as 10,000 gun owners are expected in Springfield, Illinois Thursday as they rally in support of concealed carry rights in the state. Tyler Profiet talked today with supporters from Marion and Mount Vernon about their stance conceal and carry.
