Investigators looking for help finding gunman

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - The McCracken County Sheriff's Department is looking for the public to help identify a person caught on camera robbing the Farley Superway Wednesday.

According to a release from the department, the armed robbery happened at 8:10 Wednesday night at the store located at 3245 Old Benton road.

Deputies reviewed the surveillance video which showed the suspect walking down Benton Road towards Reidland from the Bridge Street area.

Investigators say the suspect entered the North West side of the building wearing a black hooded jacket. The suspect also had on a shirt under the coat with a red color fringe at the bottom, black pants, and black shoes.

The suspect was described as being an adult African American male that was stocky or heavy in stature and approximately 6' tall.

Investigators say the man came into the story, showed a handgun and ordered the clerk to give him all his money. Which apparently the clerk did. According to the release the man got away with some cash, several packs of Newport brand cigarettes and some other small items.

The suspect then left out of the same door and fled the scene on foot and was last seen approximately 1 block (north west) of the store running towards the area of Bridge Street.

Deputies ask if you were around the area in question prior to or after approximately 8:00 p.m. to call the McCracken County Sheriff Department at 270-444-4719 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL.

Caller with information leading up to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000. Your call can and will be kept confidential.
