MARSHALL COUNTY, KY (KFVS) - A Benton man has been arrested on meth charges after a routine traffic stop.
Lee M. Farmer Jr. 41, of Benton, was arrested on March 8, 2011 after a traffic stop on Murray Highway after police stopped him because of nonworking tail lamps and multiple crossing of the center line, according to the the Marshall County Sheriff's Department.
After the stop, police found meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia on Farmer, according to police.
Farmer is charged with improper equipment, no tail lamps, possession of a controlled substance 1st Degree, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree, buy or possess drug paraphernalia, prescription controlled substance not in proper container and unlawful possession of meth precursor, according to the department.
Farmer was taken to the Marshall County Detention Center.
