SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Sikeston DPS arrested a man after a traffic stop netted drugs and a stolen gun.

J'Shaun Dammar Thatch, 20, of Sikeston, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and receiving stolen property.

A DPS officer stopped Thatch during a routine traffic stopped near the intersection of School and W. Gladys around 3:15 p.m. on March 5. The officer smelled a strong odor of marijuana.

After a search of the vehicle, 25 grams of marijuana, 6.4 grams of cocaine, a stolen 9mm semi-automatic handgun and drug paraphernalia were found.

The handgun was one of three weapons stolen from a Feb. 28 burglary at Paul's Pawn Shop at 116 N. Kingshighway in Sikeston.

Thatch posted a $25,000 cash or surety bond and has been released.
