Early morning crash sends 5 to the hospital

MADISON COUNTY, MO (KFVS) – An early morning crash sends 5 people to the hospital.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, at 4:10 Sunday morning, two vehicles crashed head-on US 67, 12 miles south of Fredericktown in Madison County.

Highway Patrol say, 24-year-old Ryan Burns of Farmington was driving northbound in the southbound lane on US 67 and crashed head-on into 21 year-old Tarna Peach, of St. Louis.

Peach was taken to Parkland Hospital with moderate injuries.  No one was in her vehicle at the time of the crash and police say Peach was wearing a seatbelt.

Three passengers in Burns' vehicle were also taken to Parkland Hospital with moderate and minor injuries.  Troopers report only one of Burns' passengers was wearing a seatbelt.  Burns also went to the hospital with minor injuries.  According to Highway Patrol, Burns was not wearing a seatbelt.

Both vehicles were totaled in the crash.
