SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - A group of Illinois farmers is heading to Panama and Colombia this week to study trade opportunities.
The Farm Bureau says the group will study the potential impact of proposed free trade agreements with the two nations and will meet with customers and shippers.
They'll also study shipping infrastructure - including the Panama Canal - that can be used to transport Illinois farm products.
Farmers from 13 Illinois counties are scheduled to take part.
