A Kennett woman and baby hurt in vehicle crash

NEW MADRID COUNTY (KFVS) – A Kennett woman and baby hurt in vehicle crash.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 21-year-old Kesley Vent of Kennett, and a baby girl, Lindie Childress, were taken to Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter with injuries after a single vehicle crash.

Highway Patrol says Vent drove off the road and flipped into a ditch filled with water.

The crash happened Saturday at 12:35 p.m. on Missouri Highway 153, 2 miles south of Risco.

Police say Childress was taken to the hospital with moderate injuries and Vent went to the hospital with minor injuries.

According to Highway Patrol both Vent and Childress were wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
