Teen injured in Friday evening car vs. tree crash

ST FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - An Ironton teen is seriously injured in a crash Friday night.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol it happened around 5:30 p.m. on Randolph Road .8 miles west of Route H.

Troopers say 19-year-old Andrew Dupree or Ironton was not wearing seatbelt when his Chevrolet S10 pick-up truck failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the road and hit a tree.

Dupree sustained major injuries and was taken to an Iron County hospital and later taken by ambulance to St. Louis for further treatment.

No word on his condition.
