Cape Police investigate early-morning armed robbery

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) – Cape Girardeau Police investigate an early morning armed robbery at a business.

According to investigators, at around 5:28 a.m. Saturday morning, two black male subjects wearing ski masks entered Don's Store at 341 South Sprigg Street.

The two men demanded the clerk give them money out of the cash register and cigarettes from behind the counter.

Once the clerk handed over the cash and smokes, the men fled on foot heading north on Sprigg Street.

There were no other customers or employees in the store at the time of the robbery, and no one was injured.

Now police ask for your help in apprehending the two suspects:

The first subject is approximately 5'8" with a thin build. He was wearing a red ski mask, gloves and white tennis shoes. He was carrying a semi-automatic handgun.

The other man was approximately 5'10" with a thin build. He was wearing a black ski mask, gloves and black shoes.
