There is talk between town leaders in Miner of outsourcing the city fire and police dispatch to Scott County dispatch. Christy Millweard talks to some of the dispatchers in Miner on Heartland News at five with their reaction to the talks.

A car drove into a Pizza Hut in Cape Girardeau just before it opened for business late this morning.

In Illinois an assistance program might be facing budget cuts.  Julia Bruck talks with a representative from a community action agency that provides loans to small businesses.

The Old Town Cape Board of Directors opposes smoking ban and supports the upcoming waste water project on the ballot. Crystal Britt will have reaction tonight on Heartland News at six.
