DEXTER, MO (KFVS) - Stoddard County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man after he led them on a chase through a neighborhood and some woods near Dexter Wednesday afternoon.

Stoddard County Sheriff Carl Hefner says deputies were called to a home just north of Dexter for a report of a meth lab with children in the home.

When deputies arrived, they found two males in the house.  No children were there.

One man ran from the home across fences and into some woods.  Hefner says he was on parole for a robbery charge.  Deputies arrested the man in the woods.

Deputies did not find a meth lab, but did find some marijuana.

Charges are pending.
