Poplar Bluff crews battle mobile home fires

POPLAR BLUFF (KFVS) - Fire crews had their hands full with an early morning fire in Poplar Bluff.

According to Fire Chief Ralph Stucker, his department got a call about 10 a.m. Wednesday about a fire at a mobile home at 360 South 11th Street in the Oak Ridge Court.

Chief Stucker says a woman was inside one of the homes sleeping on the couch when the fire began but she was able to get out of the home unharmed.

Flames quickly spread to another mobile home.  No one was in that one.

The fire destroyed Unit 16. Flames spread to Unit 25. It has moderate damage.

No one was hurt.

Right now it's not clear what caused the fire.

The state fire marshal is investigating.
