UNION COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - A Union county grand jury comes back with a number of indictments against a man accused of kidnapping his former girlfriend.
According to Union County State's attorney, Tyler Edmonds, the grand jury indicted Bradley Schlenker in connection with the October 25th kidnapping of an Anna woman.
Schlenker is charged with five counts of aggravated kidnapping, one count of aggravated vehicular hijacking, two counts of aggravated domestic battery, one count of possession of a stolen vehicle and one count of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer.
The State's Attorney's office says Schlenker abducted his former girlfriend and held her for several hours.
Edmonds says Schlenker allegedly stabbed the woman before police caught him around 1:00a.m. Tuesday October 26th.
Schlenker is being held in the Tri-County jail in Ullin on $500,000 bond.
His next court date is January 4th 2011.
