PARIS, Tenn. (AP) – A suspect is now in custody for the murder of a Buchanan, Tennessee couple.
The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Edward Taylor of Clarksville, Tennessee.
Taylor is charged with two counts of murder in the deaths of an elderly Henry County couple.
76-year-old Barbara Walker and 80-year-old Guy Walker were found dead in their home off of highway 119 in Buchanan, about 15 miles northeast of Paris, Tennessee.
Officers believe Taylor killed the couple after a woman called 911.
The woman reported that she had picked up Taylor to give him a ride, but then he pulled a gun on her.
She was able to talk him into getting out of her car at a store off highway 119.
That's when authorities believe Taylor made his way to the Walker's house.
Taylor has been extradited back to Henry County, Tennessee.
Taylor had turned himself in to Jasper, Tennessee police on Sunday night.
