16-year-old killed in morning crash in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Tuesday morning the Missouri Highway Patrol reports 1 person was killed in a crash on Highway PP west of Poplar Bluff.

The highway patrol tells us the crash happened shortly after 7:30 in the morning and involves 1 vehicle that has flipped off the side of the road.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 16-year-old Bradley Hodge of Butler County died in the crash.

The patrol says Hodge was driving east on PP in a 1997 Chevrolet when he ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected back over the road and off the left side and hit a tree.

The Poplar Bluff superintendent says Hodge was a student at Poplar Bluff High School.

According to the crash report, Hodge was wearing a seatbelt.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
