Afternoon update: 18-year-old pleads not guilty to murder of teen

We're following a national story out of Maryland where officials say a man upset with the Discovery Channel's environmental programming took several people hostage at the company's headquarters this afternoon.

An 18-year-old pleaded not guilty to two counts of first degree murder in the death of a 15-year-old Pinckneyville girl.  Julia Bruck was in the courtroom today.
