Paducah police search for purse snatcher

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah police want help identifying a man who may have information about a purse-snatching on August 16, 2010, at the Wal-Mart Supercenter at 5130 Hinkleville Road.

A 48-year-old woman told police she was loading her purchases into the trunk of her car when a black male grabbed her purse from her cart and fled. The man got into a black Nissan Titan pickup truck with two other men and left the parking lot, according to the Paducah Police Department. The purse and its contents were valued at about $100.

Police were able to obtain a partial license plate of "542."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270/444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL. Tipsters also may text their tips to "CRIMES" (274637) by entering "KyTips" followed by their information, or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website at westkycrimestoppers.info. Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
