WAYNE COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - A Van Buren company will construct a wetlands mitigation area in Wayne County.

The Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission awarded a $267,334 contract to H. R. Quadri Contractors, LLC of Van Buren.

Project Manager Any Meyer says the wetland mitigation project will re-establish habitat that was damaged during road construction.

The wetland area will be near Route F at Holliday Landing, four miles east of Route 67 in Wayne County.

Work will begin in September 2010 and is expected to be complete by October 2010.
