Marion attorney caught trying to smuggle drugs into a prison

VIGO COUNTY, IN (KFVS) - A Marion, Illinois lawyer is accused of smuggling drugs into an federal Indiana prison.

Officials were tipped off that Robert Drew was smuggling in drugs, so the next time he came in they searched him.

They discovered two ounces of heroin in condoms taped to his body.  They also found marijuana on him.

Drew is charged with dealing in a schedule I controlled substance, possession of a schedule I controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.

He was taken to the Vigo County Jail on $100,000 bond.
