Sheriff's deputies pull up more than 100 marijuana plants from field

SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Saline County sheriff's deputies went to a spot in the county where it's known to have wild marijuana plants. They crop up and seed themselves every year.

Wednesday, deputies pulled up more than 100 plants in a field southwest of Harrisburg.

They go out there pull up and dispose of them properly.

Unharvested, not many know they're there.

Police want to get it off the streets and get the word out that if you do know of any spots, please call them so they can help maintain the wild plants.
