CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Just two days after the City of Cape Girardeau declared "Elizabeth Ann Gill Day," the 45-year-old missing person case is now a kidnapping case.
Cape Girardeau Detective Jimmy Smith says the FBIi made the reclassification.
Gill disappeared from her Cape Girardeau home in 1965.
Smith says his department is working on several promising leads in the case.
Friends and family gathered over the weekend to celebrate what would have been Elizabeth Gill's 48th birthday.
