Five people charged with attempting to rob a restaurant

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - An alert employee helps nab five people suspected of trying to rob a Paducah McDonalds.

Police say early Sunday morning they were called to the restaurant on Hinkleville Road.  An employee called them after noticing a vehicle circling the parking lot.  The worker also noticed the people in the vehicle had their faces covered.

When police arrived they spotted the vehicle in the drive thru and they noticed the rear license plate was covered with paper.

During their investigation officers found a loaded handgun in the vehicle and determined the group was planning to rob the restaurant.

Investigators say all of the suspects admitted to knowing about a plan to commit the robbery.

Randy Bradley, 19, was arrested on a first degree robbery charge and being a fugitive from another state.

Travis Blanton, 18, was arrested on operating a motor vehicle .02/drugs etc under 21 years of age, robbery 1st degree, license to be in possession, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, giving officer false name or address charges.

Jordan Pannell, 19, was arrested for being a fugitive from another state, robbery 1st degree, and possession of marijuana charges.

Craig Montgomery, 20, was arrested robbery 1st degree charges and two warrants for being a fugitive from out of state.

Amanda Jones, 27, was arrested on robbery 1st degree and alcohol intoxication in a public place charges.

They were taken to the McCracken County Jail.
