STE GENEVIEVE, MO (KFVS) - Sheriff's deputies have identified the woman found dead at Hawn State Park.

Investigators say they found 35 year-old Michele Irene Boyd's body inside the park Thursday afternoon around 2:30p.m.

Deputies say they started searching the park for Boyd after getting a call from the park's superintendent about a car that had been parked there for several days.

When deputies checked into the vehicle they discovered the owner of the car had been reported missing from Miner, Missouri.

They started searching the park late Wednesday night and found Boyd's body Thursday.

Boyd's death is still under investigation and an autopsy will be performed to determine an exact cause of death.

No word on when that autopsy will take place.
