Five people indicted for Murray home invasion

MURRAY, KY (KFVS) - A Murray grand jury has indicted five people in connection with a July home invasion.

According to the Murray Police Department, the grand jury indicted Cortez Beckman, Terrance Silas, Laken Knight, Haley Petty, and Monta Harper for the July 13th crime.

Police said Beckman and Silas broke into the victims home. At some point, they actually traded gunfire with the homeowner.

The homeowner was treated at a local hospital and released at the time.

Cortez Beckman is charged with attempted murder, 1st degree robbery, 1st degree burglary, and 1st degree persistent felony offender.

Terrance Silas is charged with attempted murder, 1st degree robbery, 1st degree burglary, and 1st degree persistent felony offender.

Laken Knight is charged with 1st degree facilitation to burglary and 1st degree facilitation to robbery.

Haley Petty is charged with 1st degree facilitation to burglary and 1st degree facilitation to robbery.

Monta Harper is charged with tampering with physical evidence.
