SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - A Sikeston businessman has been arrested following a sexual assault investigation by the Sikeston Dept. of Public Safety.

A news release says James Luther Brown, 57, of Brown's Auto Service at 822 E. Malone, turned himself into the Mississippi County Sheriff's Dept. on Aug. 6.  The Scott County Prosecuting Attorney's Office filed felony sexual assault charges after a woman accused Brown of making unwanted sexual advances towards her.

The woman went on to claim that Brown locked the office doors at the business and forced her to have sex with him.

Brown was later released after posting a $50,000 cash or surety bond.
