Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Rick Marshall from Poplar Bluff, Missouri:
"(Regarding Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on the Transportation Trust Fund 4 Vote) the sales tax seems right in the beginning or when it is needed…but (once the projects) are completed it always seems public officials want another tax…when does it stop and when are we satisfied with growth and expansion?"
Reverend Bill Hudson from Sesser, Illinois:
"Why isn't the guy from Wikileaks being arrested for spying? Isn't that what spies do, give secrets to our enemies? Making these sensitive documents public is giving them to our enemies. (It's the same) as directly giving them in private."
Charles Naas from Ridgway, Illinois:
"Instead of able bodied men and women drawing unemployment compensation (they) should be paid to do at least something. Maybe we should reinstate the old Civilian Conservation Corps or the Work Progress Administration. Our government is paying these people to do nothing now; why not let them earn that same money. It seems like it would be a win-win situation."
Rennie Phillips from Scott City, Missouri:
"When I hear about the little boy being mauled by two pit bulls I was sad and angry at the same time. Sad that it happened to another individual…angry about not doing something to put an end to this horror…our lawmakers need to place mandatory jail time and fines on those owners who have pit bulls that cause problems…the right of our children to play in safety trumps anyone's right to own a dog with a reputation for viciousness."
