CHICAGO (AP) - Gov. Pat Quinn is reminding Illinois shoppers to take advantage of the last day of the state's sales tax holiday.
Quinn is scheduled to hold a news conference Sunday at a Chicago store.
The sales tax holiday was timed to coincide with back-to-school shopping. The state's 5% sales tax was suspended for school supplies and clothing that costs less than $100.
The holiday began Aug. 6 and runs through Sunday.
The governor will return to Springfield later in the day to speak at Veterans Day at the Illinois State Fair.
He's also scheduled to honor the state's Gold Star families who have lost a loved one in combat.
