Cape City Manager survives head-on collision

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau's City Manager is back home Saturday night recovering from a car crash in Howell County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 9:15pm Friday on U.S. 60 East of Willow Springs.

49 year old Cape City Manager Scott Meyer was on his way to visit family when a car driven by 80 year old Weancie Briggs of Summersville hit Meyer's vehicle head on.

Briggs died at the scene.

Meyer was traveling with his wife.

They both received minor injuries and are back home.

Meyer tells Heartland News he feels very blessed.
