LAKE LACAWANNA, MO (KFVS) - Police arrested a St. Francois County father and his 10-year-old son after they say the boy shot someone with a pellet gun at Lake Lacawanna.
Officers say the boy and his father were carrying pellet guns to show a friend. A neighbor thought they were hunting, approached the pair and an argument began.
Police say the father told the boy that if the neighbor didn't back off then he should shoot him and that's what the boy did.
Officials are looking into charges of assault and endangering the welfare of a child charges against the father.
The boy was taken to juvenile custody.
The victim is recovering.
