(KFVS) - Police arrested a Fredericktown man charged in connection to a Lawrenceburg, Tennessee murder.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, 46-year-old Curtis Staggs of Fredericktown and another man from Tennessee were arrested and charged in the 1992 shooting death of the Tennessee man's wife.
Investigators say it was a murder-for-hire scheme carried out at a convenience store the couple owned.
Staggs has been charged with first-degree murder, felony murder and aggravated robbery.
He does not face charges in Madison County, according to the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
