YourTurn - 8/13/10

Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.

David Phillips from Murphysboro, Illinois:
"I am extremely proud of our 2nd Amendment Rights…the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the 2nd Amendment and Mayor Richard Daley of Chicago writes his own rules…you may own a gun but you can't take it outside of your home loaded or in your garage loaded. This Mayor needs to go because he still can't figure out why his city has one of the highest crime rates in the United States. Mayor Daley is acting more like a dictator than a mayor."
Amanda Alexander from Kennett, Missouri:
"The unemployed workers can't help that there are no jobs available or that they are not hired when they apply for a job. If companies would stop building everything in other countries and build factories here so people would have jobs we would not need unemployment benefits. Congress acts like the extensions are coming out of their pockets…they should (remember) that the (benefits) are put right back into the economy. We use the money to pay bills, make house payments, and buy groceries."

Eugene Kandal from Benton, Illinois:
"It comes as no surprise that a federal judge ruled that the Arizona law on illegal immigration is not up to the states…it is time for President Obama and the federal government to take care of the problem or step aside and let the individual states enforce the law."
