Paducah police want help finding thieves

PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) - Paducah police want help identifying two people suspected of stealing a woman's purse and charging more than $11,000 to her credit card.

The 77-year-old victim told police her wallet was stolen from her purse while she was at the movies or eating at a restaurant near Kentucky Oaks Mall on July 30.

Surveillance video shows a black man and a white woman using the woman's credit card to buy items at a local discount store.

The suspects used the credit card to buy computers and other items, including gift cards, which they used in Springfield, MO, and Louisville.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270/444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 443-TELL. Tipsters also may text their tips to "CRIMES" (274637) by entering "KyTips" followed by their information, or by visiting the Crime Stoppers website at westkycrimestoppers.info. Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward of up to $1,000.
