A five-year-old boy is in critical condition after being attacked by two pit bulls today in Hurst, Illinois.  A police officer shot and killed one of the dogs.  The other dog ran away, but was later killed.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 55 are open again after a crash with two trucks and a motorcycle near New Madrid sent three people to the hospital.
