Coroner identifies painter electrocuted Tuesday in Jackson

JACKSON, MO (KFVS) - A Cape Girardeau painter was electrocuted Tuesday morning while working outside a building in Jackson, said coroner John Clifton.

Clifton identified the victim as Carl Boitnott, 43.  According to Clifton, Boitnott was electrocuted around 9 a.m. when he came in contact with power lines while working on a lift outside a commercial building at 319 W. Main Street.

The incident occurred around 9 a.m., Clifton said.  Boitnott was pronounced dead at a short time later.
