PERRY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - Two Chester, IL men were charged with felony possession of a chemical with intent to manufacture meth.
Kenneth J. Chambers, 43, and Robert L. Clark, 45, were both charged with class C felony possess chemical with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and a class A misdemeanor of knowingly/recklessly purchase/receive/acquire more than nine grams of Psuedoephedrine in the specified time frame following an investigation into the two individuals.
On Saturday, July 24, a Perry County, MO deputy investigated a case of two men gathering chemicals for use in manufacturing meth.
"The two had been procuring psuedoephedrine, a key ingredient in making this illegal drug," said Gary J. Schaaf, Perry County Sheriff.
The police were unable to obtain an arrest warrant at the time, so they had to release both men pending warrants.
"We work with our fellow law enforcement agencies across the river on a routine basis, and so they were able to pick Chambers up as soon as the warrants were issued," said Schaaf.
Clark turned himself in at the Perry County Sheriff's Office on Saturday.
