Tambra Turner case moves back to Cape Girardeau County

CAPE GIRARDEAU, COUNTY (KFVS) -  A high-profile murder trial returns to Cape Girardeau county.

A judge has decided Tambra Turner's case will be heard in Cape Girardeau County. The trial was set to take place in St Louis.

The prosecution and defense both agreed it will be easier to bring witnesses back and forth to court if it's held locally.

Cape County Prosecuting Attorney Morely Swingle says the trial could still happen as planned in November.

Prosecutors say Turner shot 20-year-old Chabreshea Egson to death at a home on North Spanish in Cape Girardeau in February of 2008, after finding out Egson was with her estranged husband.
