Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
"With the recent carnage on Interstate 57, mostly around work zones, the State Police should shift their priorities from writing seat belt tickets in our Southern Illinois communities to construction areas. We all know that seat belt tickets are revenue generators…let's get the troopers out of the towns and onto the interstates where they can save lives instead of trying to justify their jobs."
"Regarding the KFVS12 story about the proposed monument on the Marion square displaying the Ten Commandments, we should read through the commandments and forget there is a religious theme behind them. (We) should try harder to adhere to these simple rules and our world would be a better place for all regardless of religious or non-religious views."
"I am convinced that millions of people are suffering from lactose intolerance and are totally unaware of what is causing their acid reflex. They can find out by not using regular dairy products including coffee creamer, milk gravy, ice cream and others for a few days. (They) will see if stomach conditions improve."
Joe Keener from Benton, Illinois:
"How many (homeowners) have been contacted by their mortgage company about raising the coverage of flood insurance to match the coverage of the homeowner's policy…Bank of America said we did not have enough flood insurance. We have more flood insurance than we owe on our mortgage. We are being forced to obtain an additional $133,000 of flood insurance…if you are facing this problem contact your elected officials and the news media…we are tired of being kicked around and want to be treated fairly."
