COPY-Poll shows half undecided in Mo. auditor primary

ST. LOUIS (AP) - A poll shows that about half of likely GOP voters are undecided about whom to support in Missouri's Republican primary for state auditor.

State House member Allen Icet (EYE'-sit) and former State Department official Tom Schweich (shwyk) are running in next week's GOP primary. The winner will take on incumbent Democratic Auditor Susan Montee.

A poll done for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and KMOV-TV found that 49% of respondents were undecided. Icet was preferred by 28% and Schweich was favored by 23%.

The poll, which sampled 300 likely GOP primary voters, had a margin of error of plus or minus 6%age points. It was conducted July 19-21 by Mason-Dixon Polling & Research.
