Officers arrest Sikeston man after finding crack cocaine in his pants

SIKESTON, MO (KFVS) - Sikeston Department of Public Safety officers arrested a man after finding nearly seven grams of crack cocaine during a traffic stop.

Eldridge "Guish" Sumlin, 39, of Sikeston faces a distribution of a controlled substance charge.

Officers stopped Sumlin's car after they received a call about suspicious activity near Ann and Cole streets on July 22.

Officers found 6.7 grams of crack cocaine in the crotch of Sumlin's pants.

Sumlin was taken to the Scott County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
