CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO  (KFVS) -On Friday, August 6th, women across the Heartland can learn to make duck decoys made from cork in advance of duck hunting season. The Missouri Dept. of Conservation Campus Nature Center is now taking registrations for a special class held at the center on August 6th and 7th. On Friday, the class runs from 6 to 9 PM. On Saturday, it's from 8 am to 1 PM.  Participants must be women ages 14 and older. There's a $15 charge for construction materials. A local carver will teach the women how to rasp the cork to make the decoy and even paint it. For more information, call (573) 290-5218.
