Police: Affair leads to stabbing in Bernie

BERNIE, MO (KFVS) - Police say an affair led to a stabbing in Bernie.

Ronald Baker, 52, faces charge of 1st degree assault and armed criminal action for his role in the fight.

According to police, a Bernie woman invited Baker to her home for sex last Thursday.

Bernie Police Chief Justin Allen says when the woman's husband came home, a fight started between the two men.

Chief Allen says it started as a fist fight and quickly escalated into a stabbing.

According to the chief, both men had some injuries.  None of them were life threatening.

Baker was taken to the Stoddard County Jail.
