CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) - Cape Girardeau police want help tracking down a white male that's using a stolen debit card around town.

Daniel Buck says he left his car unlocked in his driveway like he always does and was surprised to find his diaper bag missing when he went out to his car the next morning.

"I just felt violated," said Buck.

In the diaper bag was his wallet.  He says the thief took his debit card and went on a spending spree around town.  The thief was caught on camera at Huck's convenience store.

"We've seen a slight increase recently for vehicle break-ins," said Sgt. Jason Selzer with Cape Girardeau Police Department.

Selzer says when the temperatures rise, car thefts do too.  He also says that usually if they are involved in one car theft they are involved in others.

Daniel Buck says the thief racked up about $700 on his debit card.  He says the worst part is something was stolen that he can never get back.

"I had something very valuable to me. It was my deceased father's drivers license in my wallet," said Buck.
